Role: We require a project/bid Manager within the Transport Division reporting to the Information Systems Business Manager. The role will include: Leading Projects and Bids, taking responsibility for timely delivery of outputs within defined budgets. Managing software and/or systems projects from inception to acceptance and completion. Project risk and issue management. Subcontract definition and management. Customer facing activities, progress reporting, stakeholder management, expectation setting. Managing software and/or systems projects from inception to acceptance and completion. Report and/or proposal writing. Management of teams of 4-8 software engineers. An appreciation of project commercial/contractual issues. Selection of correct software methodology in conjunction with project technical lead. Successful Candidate would be expected to carry out project management in compliance with the Company Management System and PRINCE 2 methodology. Produce project deliverables to budget and timescale. Schedule and attend project Reviews and progress meetings as appropriate to the project programme. Forecast project resource requirements for the life of the project. |
